Yesterday, after lunch, the Inquirers Syndicate had 2 guest speakers, the first one was Mr Tran and then Mrs Johnstone. They talk about how the immigrated from Vietnam (Mr Tran) /South Africa (Mrs Johnstone) to New Zealand. Some of the things Mr Tran talked about were, he came to NZ in 1994, it takes 30 days to travel from Vietnam to Hong kong, he has lived here for 20 years and in Vietnam, you only get 30 minutes to collect water. Mrs Johnstone spoke about she came to New Zealand in 1986 when she was 17, she came with her mother and brother, she lived in Auckland by herself at 17 years old but she couldn't stay because she had to go back to South Africa to get a job, then she could move back to NZ and she has been in New Zealand for 28 years.
