Commonwealth Games Day - Kapanui School Version

Yesterday at Kapanui School, we all competed in the Commonwealth games day.
We all competed in 5 games, but not everyone got to do the same as others.
We were all in a country, mine (and the rest of Mr Tockers whanau class) were Guyana, however other whanau classes were countries, such as, Falkland Islands, England, Scotland (who are the host of the commonwealth games 2014), Australia and New Zealand.
Did you know, facts about Guyana:

  • The capital of Guyana is Georgetown.
  • The official currency is the Guyanese dollar.
  • The longest river in Guyana is the Essequibo River.
Some of the games that some of other countries/whanau classes competed in were games like, musical statues, beanbag throwing, balloon volley ball and "crab walk" racing!

Well bye for now.
(PS: Have you noticed that the colour of the text is the colours of the Guyana flag?!) (PPS: The Guyana flag is below)
